| Purpose | Enlarging support activites and improving social service systems for better living of persons with mental illness in the community |
| History | To improve social welfare systems for persons with mental illness behind from those for other disabilities, sheltered workshops, group homes and other supporting groups in the community got together in 1997. The Council was organized in need of nationwide networking to have an effect on administrative policies and to enrich and improve every facility. |
| Outline | Making proposals to improve measures for persons with mental illness. Lobbying networking,exchanging information, research & survey , learning & training , cooperation with other groups in the field. |
| Activities | 1, Held the Inaugural Meeting 2. Lobbied governments to let them know the actual state of persons with mental illness. 3. Proposed ideas of their better community life in the future 4. Published Newsletter serving for not only information provison but also for creating a forum for exchanging activities or views and making proposals to the administrations and other organizations. 5. Held the board meetings and seminars. |
